Homemade Christmas Gifts

I'd post my really cool gift idea here... but then all my friends would know what they are getting for Christmas! Guess you'll have to wait!

We did make family gifts this year. It's always a hard decision to know whether or not people will understand the idea of a family gift or whether they will be disappointed to not have a gift for every one of their kids. For some people, more is better. Either more gifts or more money spent. It's hard to compete with those types of people and the way they show/feel love. We looked for something that would bring families together and encourage interaction. We didn't go in debt for holiday gifts. We spent time putting the gift together. I guess my gift idea of interaction worked both ways!

Merry Christmas!

Hooray for using a Christmas gift to bring families together. I think society is so 'wrapped up' in the idea of Commercial Christmas that we don't look outside our own personal bubbles until our gifts are used up, worn out, or discarded.
