Some of you have asked that I periodically share my kids daily chore chart. Here's the current version. We change it up 2 or 3 times a year. They have been helping out with chores since they were about 2. Now they are in elementary school and just moved from 5 min. of daily chores to about a 10 min. chore (such as the "shake rugs and wipe down glass door" used to be 2 separate days of chores and now it's in 1 day). Odd and Even refers to the calendar dates. Homework is usually completed in my classroom after school while I'm getting ready for the next day and cleaning off my desk. They get up when their alarm clock goes off in the morning and are ready to leave the house in 1 hour without much prompting from me. If Dad gets up with us, he sometimes throws off our fine tuned schedule!! We certainly aren't a perfect family nor do we have a spotless house, however we have created a schedule that works for us.

Hi Jennifer,
I just found your blog, through Jill's, and I just wanted to say how glad I was to "catch up" with you a few months back. I bookmarked your blog so that I stay connected. If you want to see pics of my family you can look me up on Facebook (carla martin howell). Take care! --Carla
